Work Adjustment Training (WAT)

We want you to succeed!

-We provide support to assist individuals in developing and/or improving work, behavior, and interpersonal skills that will help achieve employment. Job coaches work with clients one- on- one for a three month period to prepare them for competitive employment. Clients who qualify for this program are placed in local work sites of their interest. We have partnered with  multiple businesses that have agreed to host  job sites that offer work simulated environment to fit  your interests.

-Social & communication skills
-Grooming/hygiene
-Problem solving
-Time management

Mechanical​

-​Perform minor and moderately complex mechanical work and assists mechanic.
​-Gain knowledge in mechanic basics; inspects and changes oil, air filters, replaces hoses, belts, water pumps, batteries and similar equipment and parts. ​


Janitorial/ Maintenance

-Program provides specific job training to those interested in building maintenance and janitorial practice.
​-Learn skills in: floor and carpet area, environmental services, painting, plumbing, and general business skills and more.
 


Animal Care

Under supervision of the the Animal Care Manager, provide for the constant cleanliness of cages, shelter areas, proper feeding and care of all  animals. Unpacking, labeling and stocking of shelter supplies.
 

Warehouse

-​Disassemble electronics,
-Learn how to utilize tools safely and effectively.
-Receiving, moving,  and storing incoming goods.
-Pack, stock, organize and rearrange products in warehouse.
​-Shipping and receiving safety training.


Daycare Provider Assistant

-Observe and monitor children's play activities.
-Read to children, teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
​-Assist in supervising children and participate in activities.


Customer Service/Clerical

Learn how to properly interact with customers by communicating effectively, working as part of a team, learning proper phone etiquette, typing skills, etc.

Food Service

​Learn how to properly handle, prepare food and effectively sanitize work areas. Prepare and deliver  food to customers.
